Tank connector, where from?

Not sure if it's any use but Screwfix has brass ones
Suitable for 15mm copper or stainless steel pipe
22mm or
28mm

Could you not make it only tube and plate steel welded

If I had some tube and plate I could weld it, But I don't and my welding skills would end up with me blowing hole in the job

Bad news is they are made of zinc coated steel as they are designed for Zinc water tanks on irrigation systems...

The zinc isn't a problem as it will burn off, the problem is the £72 they want for one

Find a local commercial heating engineer and ask him to make you a "Long screw" then ask for a 2" steel socket to cut in half and then make two steel washers out of 2mm steel plate...
