The SAT is a classic "Marmite" stove - some love em, some (no names eh Rik!) hate them. I'm in the former class.

I think that comes from the myth that the sat is heavier than the retail consumer version, which is not true. the 27-7 weighs about a kilo exactly the same as the SAT. My SAT has been used every week for nearly twenty years, still going strong, still my best stove!

I found both my Trangia and Tatonka burners leaked and discovered that it was coming from the underside rim. Bought some Sugru and sealed perfectly. Sugru is waterproof and heat resistant silicone type material when cured ( about 24 hours) amazing stuff and will stick to almost anything.

read this last week, but didn't want to reopen thread, since its had a few more posts...

In their instructions and YouTube videos trangia the company actually advise you not to store your alcohol in the burner. :cool:
