Swallows

I am lucky enough to have Swallows nesting in my workshop, even if they are not very well toilet trained, its always nice to have them swooping around my head.

Last year I watched them 5 days a week raising their young from hatching to flying the nest. So I've been meaning to ask for a while now, do Swallows return to the same nests each year? And would those chicks I saw growing up come back to the same area as well or find a new spot?

I'm sure someone on here will know the answer to this!

They do tend to return to the same nest each year, and yes, those chicks if they survive, will be near.
