Here is my survival kit i keep in my belt rig..Just wondering if anyone can think of anything else that might compliment and improve my kit.

i'd add some hexi-tabs and some bike inner tube for firelighting in difficult circumstances.
what kind of maglite do you use?
if it's an AA, i'd change it to a LED version.
the batteries last longer and the bulbs are not prone to burning out.
also you can now get lithium AA batteries. they will last longer in storage.

Maybe a small stone to keep your cutting tools keen and sharp? A little DC3 or maybe even a DC4 in a kit that size? :) Nothing worse than trying to soldier on with bunt tools :D

Is that a glass jar?
I know it'll work well as water storage/ sterilizer by boiling but is there a risk of it breaking?

How about an LED headlight? I seem to remember you're not a fan, but they really are good if you get a good one, and leaves both hand free without chipping your teeth... Petzl Tikkas come with red filters too for that 'pink fuzzy' effect.. ;)
