or
surplus and outdoors?

There have been a load of posts having a rant about Surplus and Adventure having really bad service, but I don't remember anyone saying bad stuff about Surplus and Outdoors.

Just what other people have said.

Listen mate avoid surplus and outdoors, I am still waiting on a refund for a knife I never received from July 2011!!!

I had a small issue last week with Surplus & Outdoors, one item i ordered was short shipped, so i sent them an email and another no reply, but to be fair i think there was a problem with the Email server, so i did it the old fashioned way and picked the phone up, told them about the problem and had a really nice conversation with one of the guys up there who could not have been more helpful and pleasant and when i got home from the Sussex meet, there was was the short shipped item waiting for me, they couldnt have been more helpful to be honest and they took on board a bit of constructive critism about an item on their site thanked me for my input and promised to look into it.

Ive used Surplus & Outdoors since 2007 and and only ever had two problems, both of which were sorted out very quickly, with no arguement & at their cost.

S&A on the other hand, well like others, i bought stuff from them and in the end got the credit card company involved to get my money back when it never arrived and i couldnt get an answer.

corso i am after one of the small double leather ammo pouches they stock and haven't found them anywhere else

Have used Surplus and outdoors before, and my latest order placed on sunday night turned up thismorning!
Never had a problem!

Both are local to me (Surplus and Outdoors almost on my doorstep) and I've never had a problem with S&O but then I call into the shop fairly regularly. I've only used Surplus and Adventure once and had problems. By the way I have no connection with either shop, they're just local to me.

ive bought the double ammo pouch from there as well and they clean up great ! you could try and clean them the way i did, which was to just wash em in warm soapy water and stuffing them full of crumpled newspaper to dry and also reshape them to their original state, and when dry i painted them with neats foot oil and polished the metal studs up ! they now look belter and make a good belt pouch for a fire kit and other bits n bobs ! and all that for just over a fiver ! not bad as you will see !
