this is why i love car boot sales i really don't know why more people don't do this
people are just too snobby with the gransfors but there are plenty of other quality makes out there such as elwell, brades and spearwell

dont forget gilpin, biped and spear and jackson (although im not sure if they are the same people as spearwell and i do know that they bought elwell, but there are plenty out their from before elwell were bought out). also didnt sandvik do axes aswell?

no axe is beyond repair. once i've finished the axe im working on atm and put up a full post about it you'll see what i mean
