Maybe no point in posting this now seeing as you guys probably took off already, but do bear in mind that if the waters aren't connected to the baltic sea most likely you will be required to buy a fishing license as fishing isn't a right covered by the right of public access.

Depending on where in Sweden you're going, you'll find cloud- blue - and lingonberries this time a year. Chanterelle and cep mushrooms are another food generally easy to identify. Maybe nettles, too. But unless you plan to stop to hunt or look deeper into foraging, well, then that's pretty much the options you'll have in a coniferous forest.
