This is a knife i made for pts652003 using the Stuart Mitchell number two blades and good ole lignum vitae

That looks an excellent job as usual Ash, I really like the wood, it's come up really well. Lignum Vitae is "self oiling" isn't it? I seem to remember Harrison used it for bearings in his wooden clocks. What's it like to work and how is the handle treated?

Lignum is a pain to get the scratches out when going through the grits. It is bloody hard. and as far as non treated wood goes i think it's the best.

And i soaked in terpentine b linseed mix., im im not sure it took any of it in though. But the next day i wiped it over with plain boiled linseed, thats all it need now and then i think
