Saw a magpie sllloowwwlyyy peck a big old wood pidgeon to death - i'd say it took around an hour...Also - I've recently seen a sparrow (yes 'a' sparrow) completely fluster a buzzard from a potential rabbit kill - I couldnt comprehend what was happening at first, because the sparrow was hardly visible..just saw this buzzard wheeling about as if it was being stung by something. Then all became clear - then I had to get back to work! Otherwise would have sat and watched the whole thing...

Perhaps the little sparrow was attempting to defend the rabbit carcase, which may have been loaded with maggots and insects. I have seen Buzzards being harassed by smaller birds before, but usually several will gang up to see the Buzzard off.

Anywat thanks for sharing.
