Stove pre-heating - a blast from the past.

I found these pre-heating fuels in my cupboard. Meta tablets and Optimus burning paste.

Very cool. I remember when white gas stoves came with instructions to use denatured alcohol for preheating. I'm not sure why they stopped doing that. I still use alcohol in an eye dropper to preheat the stove.

We used to preheat Primus paraffin burners with Meths, or on one 6 mile hike, the burger tin wrappers.
