I went to a new client recently, at first I thought I'd misheard them when they said "We're stickmakers" on the phone. That was pretty rapidly dispelled when I walked into their living room... festooned with walking sticks, stalking sticks, crooks and thumbsticks. They run a small business from home making hand crafted walking sticks, crooks and other items.

Some stuff from the top of their Facebook page: (for those with a Facebook account they're here: Traditional Stickmakers - Dennis and Linda Wall)

Really nice to see such handiwork thriving, particularly so close to home.

Lovely stuff, it's great seeing what people make, there's such a huge set of skills out there that don't get enough lime light...

That is a thought that I have so many times and often wish I could work alongside some of these people and learn from them.

Thanks Adze for bringing this one to our attention, beautiful work.

Rob.
