Dont mean to imply the woman was murdered by a shrafter. Also this line caught my eye "Someone who, on the face of it, would perhaps not have a legitimate reason for using the woods like joggers and dog walkers do."
Does that mean only dog walkers and joggers have a legitimate reason to be in the woods?
