I have been hankering for while to make a stove based on the Honey / Magic Stove NG design. I have one piece of a telescopic chimney hood left over from our kitchen which I finished fitting today. I have no idea what grade of stainless it is but I reckon its about .5mm to . 7mm thick. Does anyone know if it would be ok for a stove or has anyone made a stove from one of these? I have left the protective plastic on for the picture

I've got some thin stainless like yours, always meant to make Trangia triangles with it for a meths burner but haven't got round to it yet. Have a go with your stuff and see what happens, even thin stainless will give you a bit of mileage...
