Thought I'd share a few pics of Friday night's trip to Derwent Water in the Lake District.

The lake was a bit choppier than I'm used to and it was often made worse by the ferry steaming around dropping walkers off. It was 'grit your teeth and hope for the best' stuff at times. Very mild weather though, I was trying out my new Skyehigh sleeping bag that Mrs Prawnster got me for our anniversary and I was sweltered!

The Rainy Side of the Lakes.
It's a great place isn't it?

I was there last weekend with a few of the ( ex ) Black Sheep Paddlers. The water in the lake has dropped a bit, and there was no wind, which is quite a rare thing, as you can see from a few of my pics from the Sunday:

Thanks everyone.

How did you get on with the Ridgeline Mk2 smock?

I've been very impressed with it so far. Its very comfortable and quiet, nice big pockets and certainly keeps the weather off me. It is warm though. Whilst paddling I just wore a t-shirt underneath because I knew I'd be sweating. The neoprene cuffs are good too. I'd certainly recommend it, especially for what it cost.
