American sources and Richard Mabey's book "Food for Free" both mention that this plant has a small edible root/bulb. I've never found anything like a bulb in the plants I've looked at. Has anyone. As I have found more American references for the plant I assume that they are correct and perhaps the UK reference is for a plant of the same English name but slightly different species. Any thoughts.
