Spoon knives

Anyone know of any local stockists in the Exeter area? Have just moved into the area, and am looking to make a purchase, although would prefer to actually see and hold the knives in the flesh, rather than just look at pictures on a website.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I am curious as to what's the difference between a single edged and double edged version (apart from the obvious number of edges and price! :roll: )

There are 2 possible reasons I can think of:

1) The width of the blade needs to be wider for a double edged, so can't do as tight a curve as a single edged.

2) You can't push on the back of the blade.

Of course, both might be totally wrong.

Wille Sundqvist doesn't seem to like double edged hook knives, although doesn't say why. He alsoseems to prefer using gouges over single edged ones!
