Unfortanatly having recently lost contact with a contact in Northern Norway, Ive had to re-think my planes and have
had my attention drawn to Southern Sweden.
The criteria is obviously lots of lush woodland and widerness, ill be taking an inflatable Kayak, and plan is to find a largish lake
and spend a week paddling round, fishing and bushcrafting, id like it to be within half a days travel of one of the major airports
that take flights from Gatwick. Also to be on some sort of public transport route. And somewhere off the beaten track, where I can
find the solitude I am after.
Ive just been on Google earth and had my mind blown with the huge amounts of lakes and forest available, the trip is planned
for late August early September. I am a bit lost as to wear to start my research, and it would be great if somebody could nudge
me in the right direction some what.
Thanks in advance guys for any help :)

How about Ed, and Stora Le? On a trainline from Gottenburg. Might be a little busy in august, but the lake joins to Foxen and it is possible to arrange a drop off from Canodal.

Stora Le wasn't as wild as the area around Fyresdal in Norway, but bigger water and better transport. Fyresdal is where Torjus's family lives. They used to rent chalets and have German tourists in for fishing in remote mountain lakes. Scenery is amazing, and the place was stiff with wildlife, but arranging and getting there might be more challenging.

A gang of us spent a long weekend canoeing from Tingsryd to Ronneby along the Ronnebyån river last summer. The entire Blekinge and Småland region is packed full of lush untouched forest and lakes. It's about a 3 hour hour train ride from Copenhagen airport to this area, around the same in a car.
We were kitted out by these guys http://www.paddelkompaniet.se/home_en and got a great service.

Hope this helps!

Also worth going to is Olofstrom and Lake Immeln, you'd need a car for that and would probably take about 2 hours or so from Copenhagen. Not spent as much time there but from what I have seen it's quite beautiful.
