Source of cheap blond shellac?

Hi All
for various projects, not least a bit of period hatting, I need some blond shellac, the raw dry stuff not in any solution.

The best price I've seen is about £8 for half a pound on eBay, not including postage.

Does any one know of a better source before I put a chit in with herself to order some?

Sumac trees (Rhus typhina), its made from their sap and you can often find scars that have weeped a bit.
