sorry another axe ID thread

picked this up at a car boot sale this morning
it has 'NEVERBLUNT' on one side (seems a bit ambitious when you look at the edge lol) and something else which i cant read stamped on the other. it weighs about 2lbs and seems very well balanced.
any ideas?

just a bog standard axe, should be fine given a new handle and a sharpen

aha! after a good scrub with wire wool the ilegable letters now say:

SPEAR & JACKSON
SHEFFIELD

not sure if that is a good or bad thing going by the tools they curently make it could be pretty awfall but i am told that spear and jackson used to make good quality tools. any thoughts?

Not so good nowadays but they used to make very good quality tools.Good find!
