Anyone ACTUALLY used one of these ?

There are a number of these available over the years, at various prices.

I have used solar evacuated tubes to boil water for tea in seconds, under full sun light....but these would not be as effective as most of the film is removed.

Very easy to make, loads of plans on the Web, and only need a second hand solar thermal tube

Our MrSolaroven is very efficient in that it can cook food in coldest weather, partly cloudy, or overcast days, cooking your food at temperatures up to 550°F (290°C).

I dare them, I double dare them to come here and cook when it is -20 C and cloudy.

The sun is 7-8 deg over the horizon in Helsinki at noon. Not much energy out of it.
