Different designs have been made over the last couple of designs. Mainly to be used in the fuel starved African outback.

I tried one design ( looks like a flower shaped parabolic antenna). Worked well here in the tropics, did not work in Norway. Needs uninterrupted sun, cloud cover makes the temperature drop rapidly so the cooking is interrupted.
