Earth- for awhile longer...
Could anyone who has one of those offer a simple review please?
Snugpak Elite Reversible
Confort/weight/warmth compared to a normnal fleece/wind resistance etc

or is the SNUGPAK CODE GREEN Sleeka Reversible Jacket a better investment if more expensive proposition?

struggling a biot to find the difference between the two aside that the code green is twice the price..
any advice welcomed
thanks

I have the issue version, basicaly the same but without the bit of material across the shoulder and down the arm, great top, warm and wind proof, v light for the warmth provided, i also use the trousers when the temp drops way down. i really like them, the material washes fine, and freshens up well hanging on a ridge line if your out for a couple of days. it's in no way water proof but it drys pretty quickly.
hope this helps.

I have one and have used it down to -10 and still not felt the cold. They are very warm, very light ,pack down reasonably small and are "showerproof".I haven't worn it in any rain so can't really comment on haw "waterproof they are.The reversible idea is ,to me, a waste of time as I don't really need two colour choices when I'm out and the small zip baffle is useless when the jacket is reversed as it's then on the outside and just flaps about not covering the zip at all.I am very happy with it as it does exactly what I want at a good price,I just don't reverse it.

hi i have the sleeka elite, its an excellent jacket and very warm, i picked this one as the blue isnt so military when using it when going to the shops etc. one thing tho its shower proof but in a heavy downpour it wets out!

If you want a similar jacket to the sleeka reversible check this out, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Reversibl...Collectables_Militaria_LE&hash=item5ad7e1180d

I had an original sleeka many years ago, the zip busted so had to replace with poppers, I have a black/green version of the above and it's just as good (build and warmth) if not better than my old sleeka and quite a bit cheaper.

I always try to find room for it as first thing in the morning it's a godsend, even found that wearing a damp polycotton craghoppers kiwi shirt underneath the jacket dried it out considerably after 20-30 mins mooching around my camp.
