Now I've finished drying my tears, I plan on making one today.
In for a penny...
Well it aint pretty that's for sure, but I'm hoping it will offer an extra bit of protection for my Sweden trip. Temps there are down to -10 still so I may need every little bit of help!
I picked up a Global-Lite sleeping bag, brand new for £4 from a car boot last summer so I decided it was worth butchering as it packs down nice and small.
I cut and re-stitched the ends and also cut off the zips. Then I stitched a hem along both sides to thread the elastic cord through and added some tabs on both ends.
Luckily enough I had a load of long lengths of elastic cord from various DD purchased and group buys so the only cost was the cotton thread.
It rides up to the top of the mozzie net and has an additional shock cord that can be cinched-in from inside the hammock.
