Sniffy sleeping bag? Got a Pattern 58 that smells like a dogs bed? Look no further, if you are in London, 10 mins walk from Alperton Tube. This small launderette will wash and dry your 58 using down wash, now as warm as toast and odour free. Fully fluffed, so much so my partner wants it for afternoon naps on the sofa. Highly reccomended, excellent service. Bilton Road, Literally an overnight service. IMG_20240613_114944_624.jpg

Bit of a long round trip from Midlands but it’s good to know that there is professional service that can do the job. Presumably there’s area others.

An advert for a launderette?

It’s a bit like me saying the cafe down the road makes a decent bacon roll. Here you go, 50p extra for a sausage for your dog, very dog friendly, and a great place to go if you’re hungry. :lmao:

The key would seem to be ask for it to be washed, not dry cleaned, also that they have industrial dry cleaners. hang it up insite out when you get home. Washing and tumble dry stops the feathers getting brittle.

I have to admit, I missed the down wash bit. Though I did get a down quilt done a little while back at a local place and they used a down wash, but when I took a cheapo duvet in a couple of weeks ago they wanted £22.

I reckon it’s criminal it’s almost cheaper to buy a new one.

I think you will find that they won’t dry clean sleeping gear because of the chemicals used .
The short name for it is Perk.
The same as they advise driving home with the car windows open if you have dry cleaned clothes in your car.

All the dry cleaners I approached said NO! this was due to the waterproof(ish) base. The duvet cleaners ditto. This place said easy peasy! Thats worth a shout. Doc.

Fully understand, I’d missed the ‘down’ bit and was bemused as to why there was a thread about a launderette. ;)

It kind of read like a Google review because I’d missed the point :D
