smillies or lack off......

cant seem to post smillies on my posts, tried going advanced but when i click on a smillie this comes up.....
:You_Rock_ :borgsmile etc etc

anybody know how i fix this.....

thats weird, it worked, it was only coming up as a mix of letters and symbols when i put them in the thread, oh well never mind....
