It's always been stored cleaned and dry. Oiled regularly. Head is solid. There are a couple of tiny dinks on the edge (Curiously only visable from one side) but they are tiny. Shown in pic5.

It's a lovely axe, I just don't use it much.
I have a frankenstein axe that happened because my dad gave me a random axe head and the remains of an axe handle and said can you put these together. I did and basically liked the result so much that I gave him my Swedish army axe and kept the one I'd just made. That gets used 90% of the time rather than the SFA.
