Sleeping bag query ......

Can anyone enlighten me , I have the above bag as part of what I thought was the current British army modular sleep system , I have the cotton liner plus the lightweight jungle bag and then thought this was the outer . It has a side zip not central as I think the outer bag should have , it also has an inner zip which looks like something can be zipped into it ( but what I ask ) ?

Do I have the wrong outer bag or an earlier version ? What is the zip for ? I’m confused

Any pointers will be gratefully appreciated as I can seem to find the answer online for myself

Don't recognise that bag, it's definitely not the current issue modular winter bag. Where did you get it from?

From eBay if I remember correctly , used it at weekend and thought it strange that zip was not central !

It has a foot box with fleece lining , tie out tabs and a pocket .....

It is a British version of the american system. The MOD trialed the modular combat system around 2010 then went with a copy of the Corinthia defence 4 and tropen combo.

Thanks mike , would it be the inner bag then ? Or the outer one ? I presume outer as it has a zip inside .
