just noticed that the size limit for bass has been increased from 36cm to 40 cm from april next year . Velvet swimming crabs are 6.5cms www.southernsfc.org.uk for details may vary outside southern region

'Tis true, though they don't usually breed until they reach about 43cm.. but it's a start!

Must say, that this year was a poor year for decent size bass.
