Like most people, I very quickly realised that you need to remove the clips. Also, since this is essentially a Thai lunchbox, the clips are not designed for going on and off.
So to keep it shut when in transit I looped a bicycle toe clip strap through it in the following fashion. The advantage of doing it this way is it leaves the handle free and it can still be easily carried.
To keep the handles in the upright position during cooking I found any small piece of wood carved into a wedge and jammed into one side of the handle works a treat. It is so easy to do there is no need to carry one, just make one onsite.
