Simple birch cook spoon

Just my take so far on the classic cooking spoon made from birch

I have a few of those bikebum, also a very large one to keep the cook (SHMBO) in place.

Very nice Bikebum. What way do you hollow out the spoon. I see no gouge or crook knife in the pics. I only ask as I am new to spoon carving.

Trade secret ...
take a piece of wood and remove every single bit that does not look like a spoon - using a sharp knife!

Mora 164 is my main knife and I use a half curve mora
