Silnylon is also known as Hytex PCU or as Silcone elastomer coated nylon.....well, 'technically' they're similar but the various companies all claim their version is a better development
I think they were first used for hot air balloons. (Hyperlite)
I don't know of a supplier, but I'll have a looksee.
Cheers,
Toddy

cheers for that, if Silicone Elastomer Nylon is the same stuff then Point North sell it, only problem is that it is over £8 a meter.

Look like errored on that one, did a google search and that was the UK site that came up
its best to post only if you actually know the answer, rather than just entering the results of the first page of a google search. since the individual asking will almost certainly have searched google before asking on the forum.

You can get cheap off cuts from Cameron balloons in Bristol. I go in to the reception to ask , but they might post you some if you ask. Bags are £10, which you will get around five sheets of material 5 X 6 ft. I got two bags lasty week and was able to make a large KISU and various other bags for outdoor gear.
If cameron balloons wont post im sure we could sort something out.

I contacted them today after seeing this and they were extremely helpful. Prepared to send a £10 bag p&p £3-4 assorted cloth, coulour depends on what they're making at the time. When I get it I'll let youse know.

I got a bag of assorted colours (no green) through the post today. 5 pieces about 90cm by 130cm, 2 pieces about 50cm by 150 cm and one 200cm piece about 40cm wide tapering towards both ends.
