I took both out to the lake at Umstead park in Raleigh and the Bream or Bluegill were queuing up to be hooked on nothing more than white bread. I snagged a few for a meal and let the rest go.

I use an empty Berroca tube, which I wrapped about 200ft of 8lb line round. The tube contains my spinners, lures, a float and weights. I have never caught perch, jack pike or brown trout with it, as thats naughty......:p

Yes it is.:) There's something very satisfying about not catching a fish without all the usual trappings of conventional fishing. Personally I think it's more rewarding not catching a fish is all you have is the very basics of line, hook, weights, a float maybe just a cork and simple bait.
