Yet another kit question from me! Does anyone have a good source of short-brim (1.5-2inch) boonies in good ol' DPM? I've looked around and can't find a proper surplus one in my size! I was wondering if there's a surplus store/website I'm missing that might have what I'm after :)

Fishing tackle suppliers :)

It's astonishing the stuff they have, and I found my own boonie there, and it's a short brim one. Mine's just OD though.

Or

I've got a short brim bush hat in danish camo , lovely hat.
Back in the 80's they were called a **** hat till we got stopped from referring them as that

Do Tilley still do them? I will add that Tilley is not the company it used to be nor the quality of it's products.

And you can use it to strain your pasta as well :)

Top tip for boonie hats... straighten out a metal paperclip and feed it between the stitches on the edge of the front of the brim. You can then shape that part into a small peak. This keeps the front higher than your eye level and when it's wet stops the rim from drooping over your eyes....
