Interesting. Hope that stone never needs replacing, it looks expensive. Are the slopes at top and bottom for different edge angles and you’re limited to just 2 bevel angles?
 
That doesn't look like something I would let any of my knives anywhere near TBH, BUT as long as it doesn't run too quickly and the water/parafin dribbler works, with modified guides it looks like it would be just the ticket for things like garden shears, assuming you don't have a belt grinder.

'It looks like it uses a 'cup' stone. These can be found online in all manner of sizes, grits and grades as we found out when replacing the stone of a surface grinder at work once.
 
It’s super gentle tbh, must be the water, the finish is very polished! Not good for hunting knifes as the handle obstructs it getting near the stone, I tried without the guide and got soaked, much like turning on a blender without the lid!

Would probably be superb on kitchen knives where the back edge is exposed!
