I was searchin the net when i came across the Blade-Tech, it looks ok for field sharpening, its cheap and is light but would the set angles be bad compared to just doing it on a dc3 stone.

Hey Tom,
I had one of those before I learned to sharpen things properly, undoubtedly they get an edge that can shave rabbit fur, but boy does your knife loose a lot of metal in the process! If you can sharpen by hand, I would suggest that you do, especially if a strop in the field could save all the steel that the Bladetech would remove to get similar results.
