Teno those tin can billys are brilliant!

They are on now on my 'to do' list :)

Have you tried them out yet? How are they ?

Is not the first time I use tins, but never make a full "set"

They work perfect, even make some "bannock" and sausages today, in the kitchen, since I was nailed at home all loooong weekend. Just "cure" them first with some oil.

Having the wire that way allows to play and adapt to every situation.

Hey Landy,

Is the looped wire fastened into barrel connectors from electrical connection blocks? Cool idea - I wondered how to do that without some special crip gear - brilliant.

Yup. First cut the plastic shroud off the connector, then unscrew the 2 screws almost all the way out, then thread the wire all the way through, then through your billy, then back in to the connector (but DON'T let the end poke out at all as they're VERY sharp) tighten both screws as much as you can, then cut / file the heads off the screws and finally take all the sharp edges / corners off with a needle file.
