Second staff finished today. This staffs also made from hazel, just over 5 feet high with a nice natural fork. I have put antler tips on the ends to provide a contrast. It took a while to do as i had to remove quite alot of wood. The handle was the original width of the stick. After carving the celtic pattern on it i carved in a bark pattern. This has been stained with a dark oak stain and given three coats of matt varnish.
