Scottish fishing

I'm planning to take teh canoe up north this year and would like to catch the odd bit of supper.

What are the general rules and guidlines for lure fishing? Do you need a rod license like in England?

No rod lisence is required in scotland although you may have to purchase a permit to fish certain waters. Lure fishing is generally allowed except on some private trout fisheries. Hope this helps
