Reading the article it’s probably happening all the time. We have no idea of the full complement of Earth’s virii.
Add that to the ones that we are modifying - (if the Chinese are doing it then so are the rest of us!)

I flipped through part of a yt click bait video last night that predicted two viruses to be released if Mr red hat was ever actualy inaugerated. I didn't watch the whole thing, ..but... , then a lot of conspiracy theory's have been proven to be more than fantasy of late.
I wouldn't put it past some crazy bad actor mind. Lots of weird stuff happening,
Also, isn't it amazing how ufo, became some other anachronism and now are reported as drones. Hmmmmm.

What's becoming apparent nowadays is that conspiracy theorists are actually 9 to 18 months ahead of the curve. And with our advances in 'medicine' these viruses may escape from labs after having been manipulated to be DNA specific.
Which could make you and JohnD the kind of people that I'd love to receive PM's from. Just sayin
They are putting nanobots into 6G phones that specifically target conspiracy theorists.
There are so many sources of previously unknown virii that it’s only the man made ones that I can worry about and the only weapon that I have is my vote which won’t reach China or the US.

I’d imagine we’ll never find out the truth about these things. It’s now common knowledge the Coronavirus was manufactured in Wuhan Institute of Virology which was in receipt of US funding. Basically, if you think it might be true, it probably is.
I’m not sure it is necessarily common knowledge, or even agreed upon.
But hey, maybe we can get the Luck virus like from Red Dwarf. That would be useful!
