Scandanavian music?

Really intae my scandanavia folk music at the moment mainly hedningarna, fejd, gjallarhorn, garmarna, and wardruna. you folks may enjoy this sort of stuff as it goes with the territory, especially wardruna i would say.

im curious if anybody else could point me in the direction of more similar music? been trying for ages tae find norwegian music as iv been learning norsk for over a year and music would be a great aid for that, as it happens i find im half learning swedish just tae keep up with my music tastes

For Icelandic, try Sigur Ros, although that may not be what you are after.

Can't help you much with Norwegian/Swedish, but I have tons of Pagan Folk/Medieval Metal from Germany, Russia, Serbia, Macedonia and Estonia if you'd like some links.

Hi dreadhead, if you're looking for some folk metal try Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Ensiferum, Moonsorrow, Falkenbach (mostly Finnish this lot I think)

It is great stuff, proper bushcrafters music.

I used to be right into Hardanger fiddle music back in the day - really traditional Norwegian stuff. Amazing instruments with 8 or often 9 strings - I found the harmonies quite amazing. I'm sure there is some on Youtube, I must have a look.

Hamish try Faun, they are German but have songs in all Scandinavian language's. Also a fair bit of there music is based on Viking Saga's and the vocalists are nice looking to boot
