SASS Olive Smock

My constant search for a SASS Smock in Medium has still not come to anything!

But I did see amongst the DPM ones a Green One for £499 on evilbay!

I should have bought one when I they were still making them.

They are wonderful. The real Ventile ones are a work of art.

And the £499 one is their "Ventile-like" material!............After some research and reading it appears that this is Ventile in all but name, but the jacket/smock is very well made indeed, and I'm glad I bought it

The SASS has a full length zip though John. I know some people, like me, can't get on with over the head smocks.

I had one of the later SASS smocks, in sand colour. It did work very similar to Ventile, a tightly woven cotton that swelled to stop further water ingress. It didn't stiffen up like ventile when wet, though. Sold it on the bay, fetched a decent price, but not £499! The material was from an American mill, I was told by the SASS MD.
