Samsung B2710

Anyone ever used / had one?

I'm currently using my girlfriends old black and white nokia since I broke my last phone, and the battery is finally dying on me.

I have come to find that Samsung's B2710 is the best bet for a rugged, punishable phone that still has some kind of capability in it.. So does anyone have any experience with one? Any good?

All I really want is text, phone calls, calender, time, oooo colour screen will be a nice change. That's it really, the ruggedness is probably my biggest factor though.

Got a new one. What do you want to know? Waterproof- yes. Mud proof- yes. It does everything you list, has a cracking torch and the battery lasts about 2 weeks.

So would you recommend it for the price mate? I'm looking at around 85 on amazon I think.

Yes I would. Only got mine 2 months ago as a 'scrafter phone, after I got my young boy one. PM me your location- I may be nearby!

I have the b2100, and is quite happy with it. Of course, as phones go it is from the middle neolithicum (no smarts, no fancy, rotten UI), but it is rugged. I'm under the impression that the 2710 is a bit less rugged but more modern (contemporaty with Ötzi, i.e. 3-4 years old tech).

I've had a b2100 for about 18 months and I'm really happy with it as a basic + v rugged phone. Had no problems and I'm not gentle with phones. Some minor gripes about the user interface, but overall really happy with it. Good torch too.
