Russian Camouflage

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
The suit in the pic is a "Gorka", it's a Russian army mountian suit.

The pattern is "Oak leaf" but the Russians have dubbed their own version as "Partizan", it comes in two patterns, predominantly green for spring/summer wear, and the previously shown brown based for autumn/winter.

As for shopping, try Demitry at Soviet Propaganda (http://soviet-propaganda.com/), if you have any questions drop him an email, he's a helpful chap :) no connection, just a former happy customer from my Airsoft days.

Tylerd ( Durden?) Your a godsend.

Thanks

@Nitra - I agree it looks like ( most likely based upon ) the Waffen stuff.

Yup, got it in one :) it's a long story lol

You're both correct, it's pretty much an exact rip-off of the Oak Leaf SS camo pattern, as an added bonus (as I like the pattern) the Gorkas are very hard wearing, very comfortable, baggy enough for you to layer up nicely and has a decent amount of water repelling ability.
Have a good read of the sizing charts if you intend to get one, they can be mind boggling!
Be warned though, they do NOT like washing machines! Mine looks like a khaki suit with a light OD tie-dye :(

have a word with Dmitry on here and he'll get you a Gorka in any pattern or style with any kind of camo pattern in any size you want direct from the manufacturer.
basically where i got mine from ;)

TylerD is utterly spot on with the camo pattern it is Partizan pattern, looks to be autumn that one, summer is a bit bright.
the gorka's are duck cotton really thick and very windproof, treated to be water resistant too.
however! they do not wash well, the OD green washes out easily (the camo stays fine though) so be careful.

Sorry, my mistake, I saw the pic in the link on the OP (which is a Gorka) and assumed that is what TeeDee was after, not what is pictured above. :)
