if its like normal leather, they will stretch a little bit, like you i am between sizes, so went for the slightly smaller, with hopes.

Not sure how much stretch you are hoping for - I have this in large (for 12 months) and the sizing has'nt changed significantly. Saying that, it has never been immersed or fully sodden.

Depends if you like your hat a little tight or a little loose I guess! I prefer mine to be a bit loose for comfort when it's hot.

Yup, according to the specs xl is 60-61cm.
I've definitely got an xl
