RM wilderness axe

Is this a poor copy of the RM wilderness axe as i have never seen the steel section by the head before.

I had to laugh when I read that comment in the title. I like his comment as well that the axe will gain in value over time same as an RM knife

As for the axe itself Sam (MoT) has one and he let me have a play with it and it's a nice little axe, ideal for backpacking and general camp chores.

that axe has replaced my small forest axe as my main user and resulted in most my axes recently being sold, it is a sweet sweet little axe

So whats the steel section by the head because on yhe Woodlore site its a plain haft and no collar.

no they don't dude, look at the link I posted. it's an added protection as it's designed as a splitting axe so would in theory the poll would come into contact with the wood more often.

They are lovely axes, it's down to what you want to spend i think matey, an axe will cut like another if the bits are the same so it comes down to looks in the end, I like em, that's why I got them.
