There's a talk that might be of interest coming up in the Autumn, at the V&A. It's called "Inspired by nature: the art of botany" and is about the way in which plants have inspired art and culture - ie it's not bushcraft but might be of general interest.
The talk, really a debate, is part of a series of events celebrating Kew Garden's 250th anniversary. It costs £8/6 (conc) but includes a pass to Kew Gardens to be collected at the event, which usually costs £13.
The speakers are Richard Mabey who wrote Food for Free, David Mabberley who is currently in charge of Kew's Herbarium - he also taught me on an economic botany course I did a couple of years ago in Leiden, which was excellent - and author Anna Pavord plus designer Celia Birtwell (who's done a planty themed collection for Top Shop).
