I'm a big fan of the predatory birds; something about their eyes. For the past couple of days, we've had a pair of Redtail hawks working the backyard for rodent snacks. It's more fun to have a pair because you get to hear their whistling calls back and forth. This morning the male (smaller) was up in our oak tree trying to scope out several grey squirrels who were scampering about:
