Hi there

Some extraordinarily generous person has given me their old Force 10 tent. The ridge pole has been repaired a bit crudely and deserves a replacement. Other than that in pretty good nick. The flysheet is very faded - a new one is about £120, but has anyway re-dyed their old one?

Also - what kind of waterproofing is recommended on these?

Many thanks

I have a few of these, excellent tents.
I never bothered to re-dye mine as I don't mind the 'used' look and it would take a fare bit of dye.
I used fabseal to waterproof them, worked a treat.

PREPER............... :)

I had to ditch mine as the mice had perforated it - I binned the ridge pole otherwise you could have had it! It was an excellent tent and served me well.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. Been poking about on the internet, and maybe I don't want to dye it after all - all that orange is a bit lurid anyway. Thanks for the Fabsil recommendation, looks like the stuff for me. New ridgepole is only 20 quid or so. I need to replace the shock cord in a few of the poles, and replace some of the elastics, paint on the water proofer and it'll be completely sorted.

Anyone got a file for the pitching instructions?

PM me your email address and I'll send you the pdf I've got for pitching.
Also got a mk 4 ridge pole which might be of use!

My old mk3 is very faded, use nikwax on mine. Does your one have the old inverter T door way and the mushroom feet? or the newer J style without mushroom feet? On the inter tent that is.
Yes, Inverted T and mushroom feet. Looks old!
