Not sure you need to go expensive for a good light these days. The one i mentioned is better than my 6 D Cell led maglite, as far being a torch goes, just not as good for bopping unwelcome folks over the head.Chaps, when I first read the opening post I thought it was asking for recommendations...as have been made, but the post is in the Classified Wanted area, which suggests Bushcraft4life is looking for someone here with a light they want to sell rather than recommendation of what to buy.
That said, the suggestions made so far are so cheap that it might make sense to buy new rather than used.
Afraid I don't have anything I am willing to part with. My problem is that I have a bunch of old lights that are now so old that they are past selling, and some that are heading that way (Surefires, and early Fenix that take only 123As)
What size - keyring or pocket? As above, wanted![]()
I sold a bunch of Solarforce stuff and some early CR123A torches on BLF for £200. Old Surefires and Fenix are getting vintage value now.Chaps, when I first read the opening post I thought it was asking for recommendations...as have been made, but the post is in the Classified Wanted area, which suggests Bushcraft4life is looking for someone here with a light they want to sell rather than recommendation of what to buy.

What size - keyring or pocket?
What’s the usage - back of a cupboard/find the keyhole, or walking the dog at night type thing?
Floodlight or throw some distance?
How bright?
People are assuming you’re after cheap, but you mention Olight, which aren’t. What sort of budget?
The light @Jared mentions is worth noting that the Nichia 519 led is superb for true colour rendition rather than blinding cool white light. Also, the buck driver, which regulates output so there’s no sudden drop down.
All these recharge and they’re all cheap apart from the Acebeam which isn’t really EDC but great for huge runtimes and lots of light. Sofirn and Wurkkos are probably best bang for buck.

Of the above, I’d happily part with either the Sofirn SC32 or the Wurkkos TD02 for not much cash but as mentioned, these are great quality and cheap anyway. And might be bigger than you want for actual every day pocket carry.
Personally I steer clear of Olight, they make a nice product, but I don’t like their proprietary batteries and charging systems, or their invasive marketing and paid reviews.
The default recommendation for a 18650 light on reddit r/flashlight is a Wurkkos FC11C

【Free diffuser】Wurkkos FC11C Nichia 519A Buck Circuit Flashlight, Max output 1200Lumens 18650 LED with Magnetic Tail USB C Rechargeable Torch
From March 7th to March 14th, if you order FC11C, you will get a diffuser adapted to FC11C for free.www.wurkkos.com
Sure. I’ll drop you a message. They’re a good compliment to each other, the Wurkkos is white, tight throwy beam, and the Sofirn Hi CRI is a more floody, softer beam ideal for general outdoor picking your way about. If you’re happy to part with them let me know a price for both? They are perfect for 2 out of the 3 I need
Given the current prices though it might be worth me getting new!
Have you had a look at the Olight Perun 2 headtorch? Its not just a head torch, and they are very good.I too am in the search for an EDC light, preferably small and with some clip system (I came across the Olight clip and was interested until I saw a few negative reviews about longevity, plus the price seems on the high side). I'm looking for something I can use for around a small one-person camp setup that could work as general illumination as well as giving reasonable light intensity for everyday use. I have a head torch for focussed work, but it's not really suitable for being the camp lantern (no clips / won't stand up / etc). I'll always have battery juicers to help recharge so think a USB re-chargeable torch to be the right option vs AAA's.
Has anyone had any experience of this light - "WUBEN E7 EDC" (on Amazon at around £26 after the discount has been applied) or the brand itself. They also have a much more expensive one on Amazon called the X0 but this is weaker in spec, so I'm expecting it's an older model. I just like the small size of the E7and the neat idea of the magnetic base as well as a clip, but I guess the battery is non-standard for it to be that small. That said you can pay for an additional attachment to extend the core body to give space to use a larger 18650 battery, which is a nice idea if you already have the cells rather than buying a whole other torch. What does everyone think?
Thanks for the suggestion. It does seem to be brighter and will be a longer lasting battery, however it's also more than double the weight, and more than double the price, even factoring in adding the Wuban E7 headband cost on top of the main light itself (total cost £36). I'm not sure I can see my way to £80+ on the light in any case though as the Olight Perun costs, so I might just get the Wuban and see what it's like as it's not going to break the bank. I just wanted to see if anyone had already had any experience with the torch or the Wuban brand.Have you had a look at the Olight Perun 2 headtorch? Its not just a head torch, and they are very good.
