Oh :Wow::Wow::Wow: ... I love Gordon Buchannan, he's a gorgeous man. I would have loved to have been there (inside the cage!). I've not heard of his demise so assume Gordon made it out OK ??? Saw his (???) ship in the background. I do hope the bear was OK too, we won't have white bears for all that much longer . And thanks for Svalbard link the shall watch later.

I bet bears get really annoyed about bear proof containers.

Yes they do. It is a bit of an arms race trying to keep them out of the trash. When they get frustrated they typically get on top and bounce. That is how my last garbage barrel was destroyed.

The professional bear proof bins can be just as frustrating to humans after an ice storm.
